Tesco announces another price hike for its meal deals

From Thursday, August 22, the price of the standard meal deal will rise from £3.40 to £3.60 for Clubcard members.

Those without Clubcards will have to pay £4 if they want a meal deal, rising from the current £3.90.

Tesco makes improvements to its popular meal deal offering

The supermarket giant states that it decided to pursue this move after making several improvements to the quality of its meal deal offering.

For example, it has recently opted to use cheddar matured for a longer period of time for a stronger taste and decided to use plum tomatoes for extra sweetness.

Tesco has also developed and launched seven new salads as part of its meal deal offering.
